Terms of Service

By accessing rockshieldmfb.com, downloading our mobile app, dialling *723*523# or otherwise using any Rockshield MFB service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and any product-specific mandates you sign.

Rockshield Microfinance Bank Limited (RC 750742) is a private limited company licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to carry on microfinance banking business and whose deposits are insured by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).

• You must be at least 18 years old, or an emancipated minor under Nigerian law, to open an account in your own name.
• You must provide valid, current and complete KYC information — including BVN, NIN, government-issued ID and utility receipt.
• Corporate customers must provide CAC registration documents, board resolutions and IDs of all authorised signatories.
• We reserve the right to decline any application without providing reasons.

You are responsible for keeping your PIN, password, OTP, USSD PIN, card details and mobile device secure. Rockshield MFB will never ask you for your full PIN, password, OTP or card CVV. Any transaction authenticated with your credentials will be deemed authorised by you.

• All deposits are subject to confirmation of value and available balances only reflect once cleared funds are received.
• Cash and cheque withdrawals are subject to applicable limits and identification requirements.
• Electronic transfers via NIP, USSD, mobile app or internet banking are subject to CBN transaction limits and our published cut-off times.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of beneficiary details; the Bank shall not be liable for transfers to wrongly quoted beneficiaries.

Our fees, charges and interest rates are disclosed in our tariff schedule (in line with the CBN Guide to Charges by Banks and Other Financial Institutions). Rates may change from time to time; where required, we will give you not less than fourteen (14) days' notice through our website, email or in-app messages.

All loans are granted at the Bank's discretion, subject to credit assessment, provision of acceptable collateral or guarantors where applicable, and compliance with CBN prudential guidelines. You agree to allow us to obtain credit reports from licensed bureaus and to report your repayment behaviour in return. Default may result in recovery action, blacklisting and adverse credit reporting.

• Access to internet banking, corporate banking, the mobile app, USSD *723*523# and card services is subject to separate mandates and product terms.
• We may suspend or terminate access temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, security incidents or non-compliance without prior notice.
• Report any suspected unauthorised access, lost card or compromised device immediately by calling our contact centre.

You must not use our services to launder money, finance terrorism, evade tax, facilitate fraud, host or transmit malicious code, or engage in any activity that violates Nigerian law. We may block, freeze or close your account and report to regulators where we detect such use.

All content on our website and app — including logos, text, graphics, software, trademarks and layouts — is owned by or licensed to Rockshield MFB and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify any part of it without our written consent.

Certain services (e.g. bill payments, airtime purchases, insurance) are provided by third parties through our platforms. Their use is subject to the third party's own terms, and Rockshield MFB is not liable for failures caused by such third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rockshield MFB is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, arising from your use of our services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or gross negligence on our part.

We aim to resolve every complaint fairly and promptly. Unresolved complaints may be escalated to the CBN Consumer Protection Department in line with the CBN Consumer Protection Framework. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts in Lagos shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may amend these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after publication of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
