Common scams to watch out for

Phishing emails and SMS

Fake messages that appear to be from Rockshield asking you to click a link and 'verify' your details. Always type rockshieldmfb.com into your browser instead of clicking links.

Advance-fee loan scams

A stranger promises a large loan if you pay a processing or insurance fee first. Rockshield does not charge upfront fees before loan disbursement.

SIM swap fraud

Fraudsters clone your SIM to intercept OTPs. Never share your OTP; contact your telco immediately if your line suddenly goes dead.

Fake customer-care agents

Callers claiming to be from the bank ask for your card details 'to help you'. Hang up and call our official line to verify.

POS reversal scams

A 'failed' POS transaction where the agent asks you to enter your PIN again or transfer the amount back. Do not comply — insist on the receipt and check your alert.

Investment / Ponzi schemes

Promises of guaranteed returns of 20%+ per month. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
